Even as he prepares to step down as Commanding Officer of the 4th Infantry Diamond Division (4ID), Major General Michelle Anayron assured that the division’s determination to pursue the remaining armed groups in the region will continue, with the goal of further strengthening peace in Mindanao.

He noted that programs are already planned and set for implementation, including the reinforcement of the reserve force and other capability‑building initiatives for soldiers.

Anayron also highlighted the importance of sustained support for rehabilitation programs and assistance to those who have returned to peaceful civilian life.

He said that their focus remains on preventing the resurgence of the New People’s Army through sustained operations and continued presence in the mountains.

Despite his upcoming departure from the post, she expressed confidence that progress will carry on until the target of regional stability is achieved.

At present, Malacañang has yet to announce who will succeed his as commander of the 4ID.
