Committees investigating allegations that provincial capitol equipment was being used for illegal mining and quarry operations in Barangay Sinalac, Initao, Misamis Oriental expressed dismay after some capitol employees reportedly snubbed the inquiry.
The investigation aims to uncover the truth about who is behind these activities in Initao.
Misamis Oriental 2nd District Board Member Bliss Francis “Pangky” Acain, chairman of the infrastructure committee, stated that they will not stop the probe until the truth comes out.
Earlier, no one from the executive branch appeared at the hearing despite the assurance of Provincial Administrator Ruel Gayoso to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan yesterday morning.
