Brigadier General Seigfried Tubalado steps into a daunting role as the new Acting Commander of the 4th Infantry Division, following the retirement of Major General Michelle Anayron.
Anayron reminded him that from the 97 armed groups present when she began her service, only 27 remain across Bukidnon, North Central Mindanao, and Caraga.
Tubalado now faces the challenge of dismantling these remaining groups, which are believed to be regrouping to strengthen their forces.
Adding to the task are 11 high-value individuals still at large, down from 19 previously identified.
The turnover of command was witnessed by Lieutenant General Antonio Nafarrete, Commanding General of the Philippine Army, who echoed Anayron’s call for vigilance and perseverance.
