He claimed that certain groups are plotting to impeach the Vice President from Mindanao out of fear that she has a strong chance of winning in the next presidential race.
Gonzales criticized the current state of Philippine politics, describing the system as “rotten” and detrimental to the nation’s progress.
He warned that such tactics undermine democratic processes and reflect the deep flaws in the country’s political culture.
Despite these concerns, Gonzales expressed hope that meaningful reforms will eventually be introduced to fix the system and provide lasting solutions for the nation’s governance.
