The Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan)–Southern Mindanao expressed its desire to hear Vice President Sara Duterte’s direct responses to the impeachment complaints filed in the House of Representatives.
Rauf Sissay of Bayan-Southern Mindanao noted that politics is clearly mixed into the lawmakers’ push to remove VP Sara from office, but the group is more interested in how she will personally address the accusations rather than the claims of her political supporters that she is being targeted unfairly.
It was also highlighted that some legislators, particularly those aligned with the Makabayan Bloc, are expected to support the impeachment move against the Vice President during today’s proceedings.
