Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy expressed that retaliating against defamation or political attacks on social media from critics and online trolls is not his style.
The city mayor emphasized that he does not own the city or its streets—they belong to all Kagay-anons—which is why he welcomes everyone, including members of the Duterte Diehard Supporters (DDS).
Mayor Uy explained that he guards Cagayan de Oro’s reputation as a city of golden friendship and has no room for political rivalries.
To maintain peace of mind and prevent unnecessary drama, the mayor stated he simply chooses not to engage with his detractors.
