Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro Social Action Center Coordinator Bong Florendo stated that civic and religious organizations initiated a petition drive to enforce anti-political dynasty rules after Congress failed to enact enabling legislation for nearly 40 years.
Florendo confirmed that the Social Action Center is collaborating with Rev. Fr. Roger Gabac, Archbishop Jose Cabantan, Xavier University, and partner organizations to rally public support for the “Dapat Isa Lang” movement.
He stressed that the initiative aims to prevent the concentration of state power within single family networks.
