Ka Leody de Guzman, convenor of Artikulo Onse, doubts whether President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. can win back the Filipino people as his term nears its end, following the long period during which the Marcos family lost power in national politics.
In his interview with Bombo Radyo, he explained that even with two years left in the administration, it is difficult to regain the public’s trust if personal agendas continue to take precedence.
He added that if the President wishes to finish his term with a good reputation, he must change his policies by prioritizing the interests of the Filipino masses over billionaires, foreigners, and political dynasties.
Consequently, De Guzman challenged the president to begin abolishing regional wage rates and holding all those involved in widespread corruption accountable.
