CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Thousands of residents facing imminent eviction from Camp Evangelista, Barangay Patag, are preparing to appeal to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. for help.
Former Cooperative Development Authority Undersecretary Orlando Ravanera will personally bring the plight of 3,000 individuals to Malacañang.
“We will forward the families’ appeal to President Marcos,” Ravanera said, “in hopes of saving them from the court-ordered demolition near the headquarters of the 4th Infantry Division (ID) of the Philippine Army.”
Meanwhile, the city council, through Barangay Patag Chairman Eric Abaday, passed a resolution this week to prevent the disconnection of electricity and water supply for residents who refuse to leave their homes.
