The dry run implementation of Cagayan de Oro City Ordinance No. 10551-2007 has inconvenienced commuters and added to their daily burden, resulting in longer travel times and higher fares.

Student leader Gayle G. Escobido clarified that while the ordinance aims to create an organized transportation system, it should not cause additional hardship for commuters.

She expressed hope that city officials will address the plight of workers and students commuting daily from neighboring municipalities, noting that instead of making commutes easier, the trial period has made travel longer, more tiring, and more expensive.

Escobido added that while an extra ₱5 to ₱10 in jeepney or bus fares during this dry run may seem minor to some, it represents a significant financial burden for students living on tight allowances.
