Like ordinary Filipinos, Hakbang ng Maisug Convenor Atty. Vic Rodriguez admitted that he no longer expects much from the State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. last Monday.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, the convenor criticized that the country cannot even run multiple functional trains, yet the president now promises to launch a rocket into space.
The group failed to see the importance of this, questioning why it is among the president’s priorities.
According to the heavily criticized SONA, the group believes this simply indicates that the administration is heading in the wrong direction because it has failed to provide good service to Filipinos, particularly regarding affordable rice, which he pointed out will remain a mere dream for the people while they look up at the president’s launched rocket.
