A compressed four-day work week has officially taken effect at City Hall starting Monday, following the issuance of Executive Order No. 103-26 by Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy.
City Information Officer Jade Adecer said the new schedule was finalized after consultations with department heads to ensure that essential operations remain unaffected. The measure is designed to reduce electricity and fuel consumption while continuing to deliver efficient public service.
Under the arrangement, employees will report to work from Monday to Thursday and end their day at 5:00 p.m. City Hall’s general offices will be closed every Friday.
Essential offices—including city hospitals, Oro Rescue, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD), Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA), City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD), City Memorial Park, City Veterinary Office, and the City Health Office will maintain regular operations to guarantee uninterrupted services for residents.
The four-day work week will remain in effect until further notice, in line with the mayor’s directive.
