CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines– Cagayan de Oro Water District (COWD) announces the implementation of a new installation fee for water consumers in the city.

COWD General Manager Fermin Jarales, confirms the decision of the board, stating that the policy, delayed for several months, is now set to be enforced.

Jarales emphasizes the necessity of this fee to ensure the agency can properly manage its financial situation.

He assures the public that the fee is not exorbitant and is, in fact, lower compared to similar charges in other major cities in Mindanao.

The introduction of this fee aims to enhance the financial stability of COWD, allowing it to continue providing quality water services to the residents of Cagayan de Oro City.

The agency hopes that consumers will understand the importance of this measure in maintaining and improving water infrastructure and services.
