The International Criminal Court (ICC) has released a list of alleged co-perpetrators in the case against former President Rodrigo Duterte related to crimes against humanity stemming from the Philippine drug war.
In a document published on February 13, the ICC revealed that Duterte, along with several senior officials, devised a “common plan” to neutralize suspects through killings.
Among those identified as co-perpetrators are Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, and Philippine National Police chiefs who served under Duterte’s administration from 2016 to 2018.
The list also includes the coordinated war on drugs campaign in Davao City, which resulted in numerous cases of extrajudicial killings (EJK). The ICC noted that the alleged crimes cover killings during Duterte’s tenure as mayor of Davao City through the Davao Death Squad (DDS), as well as the broader nationwide drug war during his presidency.
According to the ICC, this group demonstrated a systematic effort to eliminate suspected criminals as a government policy instrument.
