At least five people were killed and 10 others wounded on Thursday in Israeli airstrikes across southern Lebanon, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency.

In Aadloun, two people died when a house on the town’s outskirts was hit.

Strikes around Tyre and its popular housing district left two dead and eight injured, with wounds ranging from minor to moderate.

In Bazourieh, one person was killed and two injured, including one critically, as an entire residential block was destroyed and the main road cut off.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces attacked the border town of Khiam with artillery and attempted ground infiltration, sparking clashes with Hezbollah.

The escalation follows Hezbollah’s March 2 rocket launches into Israel, the first since the November 27, 2024 ceasefire.

Israel responded with a military campaign involving intensive airstrikes across southern and eastern Lebanon, as well as Beirut’s southern suburbs.
