CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Two unidentified gunmen wearing mask shot two Kasama-Bukidnon members in Sitio Kasilaan, Brgy. Halapitan, San Fernando Bukidnon at around 6:30 pm, August 2, 2019.
Based on a Wilson Anglao Jr’s text message, victims were identified as Guellermo and Jocelyn Casas.
Guellermo sustained five gunshot wound and died on the scene and his wife Jocelyn was shot on her right leg and was rushed to San Fernando Provincial Hospital Annex for further medications.
Anglao, the Secretary General of Karapatan stresses that this was the first frustrated extra-judicial killing on August and a total of 10 EJK incident in Bukidnon in the first 6 months of the year.
Meanwhile, the Bukidnon-PNP did not confirm the death of Karapatan members, but investigation is on going.
