Cagayan de Oro City, known for its vibrant community and bustling streets, is taking significant steps to improve road safety.

City Mayor Rolando A. Uy recently expressed his unwavering support for the programs initiated by the Regional Road Safety Consultative Advocacy Council 10 (RRSCAC-10).

On June 18, Mayor Uy signed a crucial Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with RRSCAC-10 at the City Tourism Hall.

The MOA signifies the city’s commitment to reducing road accidents and ensuring safer streets for residents and visitors alike.

The RRSCAC-10 aims to achieve a 30 percent reduction in road crashes across Mindanao.

The urgency stems from the alarming increase in accidents, which has led to numerous casualties.

By collaborating with various stakeholders, including local government units (LGUs), law enforcement agencies, and relevant offices, the council seeks to create a safer road environment.
