CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) brought its travel trade expo to Mindanao for the first time.
The 3-day event was held at Limketkai Atrium in Cagayan de Oro City.
Over 130 international and local exhibitors participated, showcasing travel packages and local products.
The PTAA president Evangeline Manotok, urged people to use accredited travel agencies to ensure a worry-free experience and avoid scams.
“We are not just travel agents but also travel advisers and consultants. So when you buy tickets from us, it will be a worry-free experience,” she said.
This expo aimed to empower travel agencies in Visayas and Mindanao.
Airlines, hotels, and resorts offered discounts to the public.
