At least 58 people have died in recent violence in Jonglei State, South Sudan, leaving about 30,000 displaced civilians stranded without food, water, or medical care.
MSF reported that survivors fled attacks in Lankien and Pieri and are now sheltering under trees in Nyatim, surviving only on boiled tree leaves.
Children have died from acute watery diarrhea and suspected malaria, while humanitarian access has been blocked for nearly a month.
The displaced, mostly women, children, and the elderly, face severe shortages of clean water, shelter, and medicines.
Insecurity persists, with armed groups abducting civilians and attacking those searching for food and water.
MSF has urgently appealed to authorities and the international community to allow life-saving assistance, warning the death toll could rise without immediate intervention.
