“We don’t need people power, what we need is people to unite in prayer!” declared Pastor Jeff Baconga of the Cagayan de Oro Evangelical Council during the closing of a prayer rally held by evangelical churches in the city.
The seven-day event, which began on July 5, was organized to pray for the nation against corruption. Baconga clarified that their group does not support anti-government rallies or rebellious movements, as they believe prayer is the solution to corruption.
He assured that the initiative is rooted in faith, believing that if the people humble themselves and pray, the nation will achieve peace and well-being.
