The Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office (MOCPPO), in coordination with the Misamis Occidental Provincial Reformatory Jail, Oroquieta City Police Station, and the 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Companies, successfully conducted Oplan Galugad/Greyhound at the Misamis Occidental Provincial Reformatory Jail on March 17, 2026, along Capitol Drive in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental, resulting in the recovery of assorted contraband items.

The inspection aimed to ensure the facility remains free from prohibited items and to assess its overall security condition.
Confiscated during the operation were five pairs of scissors, one improvised bladed weapon, five sets of playing cards, one nail cutter, six assorted lighters, one light bulb, one spoon, one cutter blade, four additional blades, one stick of cigarette, eight needles, one glass container with cap, and one nail pusher.

All recovered contraband were properly inventoried using Body-Worn Cameras (BWC) to ensure transparency and accountability, in the presence of the facility’s warden.

PBGEN CHRISTOPHER N ABRAHANO, Regional Director, PRO10, commended the operating units for the successful implementation of the operation and emphasized the importance of sustained inspections in detention facilities.

“This successful conduct of Oplan Galugad highlights our unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and order inside our detention facilities. We will continue to intensify our efforts to prevent the entry of contraband and ensure the safety of both inmates and personnel,” he said.
