Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Manuel Romualdez confirmed that President Donald Trump formally invited the Philippines to become part of the newly established “Board of Peace,” a multinational body spearheaded by Washington to promote global stability.
The initiative seeks to foster “lasting peace” by engaging nations in collective dialogue and coordinated action to ease conflicts worldwide.
The Board of Peace is envisioned as a platform where member states can collaborate on conflict resolution, humanitarian support, and preventive diplomacy.
Its agenda includes addressing the Israel–Hamas conflict in Gaza, the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, persistent instability in the Middle East, and violence across.
