CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — The Police Regional Office 10 (PRO-10) has intensified its operations to safeguard peace and order in Northern Mindanao amid possible ripple effects of the ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, PRO-10 spokesperson PMAJ Joan Navarro said the directive came from Regional Director PBGEN Christopher Abrahano, who ordered stricter police measures to prevent any group or individual from exploiting the global situation.
Navarro explained that the police are coordinating closely with other government agencies to address potential impacts of the crisis on local stability.
Among the measures being implemented are participation in the Department of Energy’s information campaign, monitoring fuel prices to prevent violations of the law, and conducting inspections of establishments and gas stations to ensure no illegal activities worsen public hardship.
Authorities emphasized that these proactive steps are part of a broader effort to maintain order and reassure the public that security forces are prepared to respond to any challenges that may arise.
