The group Bunyog Pagkakaisa staged a march and rally in front of the House of Representatives on April 14, coinciding with the ongoing impeachment hearing against Vice President Sara Duterte.
According to spokesperson Jojit Arsega, the impeachment process must continue despite the national crisis, as it represents accountability and the people’s right to demand justice.
He urged the House Justice Panel to listen carefully to the evidence presented during the proceedings.
Arsega insisted that if the allegations are proven, those involved should be impeached and held responsible. He emphasized that no one should be exempt from accountability.
While he expressed no objection to Duterte’s plan to run in the 2028 Presidential Elections, he stressed that she must first face the allegations raised against her.
