City Psychologist Rio Rosal Baliling has reminded the public of the dangers of staying in toxic relationships, warning that such situations can severely affect a person’s emotional and mental well-being.
Baliling explained that signs of a harmful relationship often include intense stress, loss of self-confidence, and fear of pursuing personal connections. These symptoms, he noted, are clear indicators that the environment is no longer healthy.
He emphasized the importance of recognizing and addressing relationships that bring negative effects, urging individuals to seek support from family, friends, or mental health professionals.
“No one should force themselves to remain in a relationship that only causes pain and distress,” Baliling said.
The psychologist further appealed to the public to safeguard their emotional health and avoid relationships that could damage their lives.
His message highlights the need for awareness, self-care, and the courage to step away from situations that compromise one’s well-being.
