The Cagayan de Oro Seafoods Wholesalers Association is facing challenges at the congested Bulua Fish Landing due to the city’s rapid growth and rising demand for seafood.
Association president Irene Floro clarified that this is not a complaint against the local government but a structural gap since the facility was built back in 2003.
Aside from overcrowding, the biggest problem is the lack of water, with low pressure affecting sanitation.
Floro has appealed to the city government for assistance in managing the facility’s growing needs and preventing hygiene issues.
