Cagayan de Oro City Police Office Spokesperson PMaj. Emelita Simon confirmed the arrest of two active-duty police officers—a Police Executive Master Sergeant and a Patrolman—at a security checkpoint following a shooting incident in Barangay Indahag.
Simon reported that a 38-year-old victim sustained a gunshot wound to the thigh following an altercation, leading to the confiscation of two service sidearms based on eyewitness identification.
She stated that legal officers are preparing formal charges for frustrated murder alongside administrative disciplinary proceedings.
