Willy Dacula, Acting Information Officer of PDEA Region 10, confirmed that ten personnel from the Road and Traffic Administration (RTA) tested positive during a surprise drug test.
Out of 161 employees who underwent testing, nine were found positive for methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu, while one tested positive for marijuana.
Dacula clarified that the figures were based on official specimens collected from those who participated in the test.
He also noted reports about 18 individuals who failed to attend, but the focus remains on the 161 who submitted urine samples.
The operation is part of PDEA’s intensified efforts to ensure that public servants in the city remain free from illegal drugs.
