Following the dismantling of active guerrilla fronts, 4th Infantry Division Commander Major General Marion Angcao announced that the military is recommending Stable Internal Peace and Security (SIPS) status for Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, and neighboring Caraga municipalities.
General Angcao clarified that local government units will evaluate the recommendation independently, while calling on the few remaining insurgents in Agusan del Sur to surrender peacefully.
