CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines – Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 2023-052, all unconsolidated individual operators who failed to file an application for consolidation on or before the 31 December 2023 deadline shall no longer be allowed to organize into a juridical entity or join existing consolidated transport service entities and a Show Cause Order shall be issued.
Subsequently, the deadline for filing an Application for Consolidation was extended until 30 April 2024 pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 2024-001.
Based on records of this Regional Franchising and Regulatory Office, the Franchise Grantees with the corresponding case number who are listed and mentioned in the Show Cause Order have failed to file an application for consolidation or join an existing Transport Service Entity (TSE) on or before the 30 April 2024 deadline.
This Office deemed it practicable and proper to issue and publish a consolidated Show Cause Order once in a Newspaper of General Circulation considering that based on the Records of this Office, numerous Franchise Grantees or Operators have not provided their complete mailing or business address.
In view thereof, the Franchise Grantees, are hereby directed to explain in writing within Ten (10) days from the publication of the Show Cause Order their failure to comply with the lawful order of the Board, which is considered a violation of the terms and conditions of their Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC).
Failure to file an explanation within the period given shall be deemed a waiver on part of the Franchise Grantees to be heard and the case shall be submitted for resolution based on the records of the Board.
