The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Region 10 is preparing for possible fare hike requests from the transport sector as Middle East tensions continue to drive fuel costs higher.
The Department of Energy has warned that petroleum prices could reach ₱80 per liter.
Regional Director Aljo Bendijo stated that their office will wait for guidance from the LTFRB central office before taking action locally.
Meanwhile, fuel prices are expected to climb further next week due to the ongoing conflict involving Israel, the U.S., and Iran
