Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) Spokesperson PCAPT Emilita Simon announced stricter enforcement of the DILG campaign against individuals going half naked, smoking, and drinking liquor in public places across Cagayan de Oro City.
She clarified that this is not a new measure, as the city already has ordinances regulating such activities, but implementation has been intensified through directives from the city director and station commanders.
Police have coordinated with barangays to ensure faster enforcement, given their familiarity with local communities.
Since April 8, operations have issued ordinance violation receipts and warnings to violators, reinforcing the ongoing campaign for public discipline.
