Romeo Aclo, Program Head of DepEd Cagayan de Oro, assured that the opening of classes would have gone smoothly and schools would have faced no major issues had the earthquake not occurred.

However, Aclo admitted that preparations were not entirely perfect, noting that some parents were still enrolling their children at the time.According to the official, these late enrollments posed challenges in projecting classroom needs and budget allocations.

Despite this, DepEd confirmed its readiness to accept and accommodate students until the 15th to ensure that all children are assisted.

Aclo further urged the public to enroll early in the future, emphasizing that timely registration helps make resource allocation and class organization more efficient.
