Julie Mae Maisog-Robles, a Psychiatric Nurse, emphasized the vital role of fire and earthquake drills in guiding students and teachers during emergencies such as earthquakes.

She explained that teachers remaining calm is key to preventing children from panicking, especially when they hear alarming sounds like sirens.

Robles also highlighted that holding seminars and lectures in schools can provide support to victims who have experienced trauma after disasters.

While such activities are not mandatory for every school, she strongly urged that they be prioritized for the safety of all.

In line with this, authorities continue to encourage both public and private schools to strengthen their disaster preparedness measures to ensure readiness for any natural calamity.
