Former Provincial Administrator Atty. Angel Lim expressed hope that the hearings of the Blue Ribbon Committee sub-committee led by Senators Pia Cayetano and Rodante Marcoleta will not be obstructed.
Lim stressed that the group’s efforts are legal and legitimate, as they seek the truth in accordance with the Constitution.
He believes the hearings are an important opportunity for the public to hear the testimonies of 18 ex-marines who reportedly have personal knowledge of the issues.
Even if some statements may turn out to be false or mistaken, Lim pointed out that the process should be allowed to proceed so that the people themselves can weigh the truth.
He added that the public has long awaited and thirsted for the truth, making these hearings necessary.
