DTI Misamis Oriental Provincial Director Jesusa Abear revealed that they are strictly monitoring the prices of school supplies across the province, from Lugait to Magsaysay.
She clarified that while prices may vary among retailers, they must remain within the Suggested Retail Price (SRP).
The agency announced that official price guides can be found on their social media pages, giving parents and students a basis for their purchases.
Monitoring is also being implemented in municipalities and component cities to ensure that businesses do not take advantage.
Consumers are encouraged to regularly check the lists so they can choose stores that fit their budget.
