“He deserves this punishment very well!” commented Geopolitical Analyst Herman Tiu Laurel regarding China’s ban on Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro.
Laurel said the penalty, which prohibits all transactions in mainland China, Macau, and Hong Kong, is appropriate given Teodoro’s constant attacks against China.
He urged President Bongbong Marcos to dismiss Teodoro, claiming the official has failed to act in the nation’s best interest.
Laurel added that this move contradicts efforts by other agencies, such as the Department of Tourism and NEDA, which are seeking investors to boost the economy.
