The administration of Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School (MOGCHS) has discovered the reasons why some students were caught carrying prohibited items inside the campus.

According to Principal Melende Catid, some students simply answered “we just brought it” when asked about their contraband.

She clarified that one student claimed to use a cutter for drawing, but teachers never instructed or encouraged bringing sharp objects. Meanwhile, lighters and vapes confiscated from students are believed to be used for smoking.

Despite these explanations, MOGHS maintains its strict ban due to concerns that such items could cause fires or pose safety risks to all students inside classrooms.
