Anti-war advocate Ben Tiu Contreras believes the release of incomplete details in mainstream media about the reported Chinese Coast Guard attack on Filipino soldiers in the West Philippine Sea is a form of black propaganda.
He explained that the initial video released by PCG spokesperson Rear Admiral Jay Tristan Tarriela showed only one side, creating a misleading impression against China.
Contreras pointed out that footage from the Chinese embassy indicated that Filipino boats approached and attacked first. He urged the public to carefully examine information to avoid being misled by propaganda.
