The Manticao Municipal Police Station quickly arrested a 35-year-old suspect within 15 minutes of receiving a report about the stabbing of a senior citizen in Purok 9, Sitio Sambuyaan, Barangay Pagawan, Manticao, Misamis Oriental.
This followed the surrender of a 16-inch bolo—suspected to be the weapon used in the crime—by the barangay captain to authorities.
Responding to the success, Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office Director Police Colonel Al Abanales praised the strong coordination between the community and the police, which resulted in the swift apprehension of the suspect.
Furthermore, the official assured that they remain vigilant and determined to protect lives and conduct unbiased investigations to deliver justice.
