According to Streetlight – Suga Executive Director Esther Buehlmann, each child undergoes intervention, such as transfer to the CSWD holding area for further assessment and a medical check-up at the City Health Office for STDs.
Additionally, medico-legal processes are handled at NMMC alongside securing police affidavits to formally file cases against pimps in court.
Finally, the youths are placed in a shelter to ensure their safety and complete recovery from the trauma they experienced.
