The office of Misamis Oriental Governor Juliette Uy prioritized public health protection as El Niño triggers abnormally high temperatures across the province.

Provincial Health Office Representative Rainier Frederick Miego stated that official health advisories have been issued, focusing particularly on senior citizens and individuals with pre-existing conditions such as hypertension and diabetes.

Miego also warned of potential mosquito-borne disease spikes due to household water storage practices during dry spells.

Authorities advised residents to stay indoors between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM or utilize hats and umbrellas when going outside.
