Carmen Barangay Secretary Aronne Joshua Tumanilak commended community members for executing a bucket relay that assisted firefighters in containing the Zone 9 fire in Barangay Carmen.
Tumanilak noted that resident participation was critical due to steep terrain and densely built structures that limited access for large fire engines,
demonstrating the practical value of local fire prevention training. Beneficiary profiling and meal distribution are underway at the Carmen National High School roof deck evacuation center, where affected families will receive relief supplies and financial aid.
