Lay Theologian Wilson C. Amad criticized the Presidential Commission for Urban Poor (PCUP) for failing to adequately protect informal settlers during community demolition activities.

Amad stated that the manner in which recent eviction orders were executed reflects agency inaction regarding its statutory obligations.

He emphasized that PCUP is mandated to lead pre-demolition conferences alongside six partner government agencies to guarantee fair procedures.

Amad offered to conduct orientation sessions directly within communities to educate residents on their legal rights.
