Following the successful execution of the Higalaay Festival, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD) Head Nick Jabagat acknowledged that schedule adjustments for the street dancing, civic-military parade, and fluvial parade were effective.
The official also clarified that emergency responses outside festival activities were not neglected, as designated personnel remained on duty to handle incidents like a reported fire.
However, despite operations running smoothly—with parades concluding early in the morning—minor cases of elevated blood pressure and exhaustion were recorded among attendees.
Given the strategy’s positive outcome, Jabagat expressed that their office remains open to recommendations to enhance event management in coming years.
