Mindanao Chairperson John Philip Talaba of the Student Council Alliance of the Philippines announced that youth organizations have joined the “Dapat Isa Lang” People’s Initiative to enforce the anti-political dynasty provision of the 1987 Constitution.
Talaba stated that the coalition is mobilizing an online signature campaign targeting 7.5 million signatures nationwide required to trigger a national referendum.
He urged young citizens to participate in the digital petition drive to eliminate fat political dynasties and foster governance opportunities for new leaders.
