Xavier University SIAP Director Nestor Mesias Banuag Jr. asserted that citizens are utilizing their constitutional right to a People’s Initiative to address decades of congressional inaction on anti-political dynasty legislation.
Banuag highlighted that while pending legislative bills limit prohibitions to the second degree of consanguinity, the “Dapat Isa Lang” initiative extends restrictions to the fourth degree.
He urged citizens to sign the online petition to curtail absolute political concentration and foster public integrity.
