Inday Sara Movement Philippines representative Daniel Nobleza characterized the Anti-Money Laundering Council’s corrected testimony regarding joint bank accounts held by Vice President Sara Duterte and Atty. Manases Carpio as a favorable development for the defense.
Nobleza noted that the AMLC retracted initial assertions after Senate cross-examination verified that no funds originating from China or other foreign entities were deposited into the couple’s accounts.
He argued that these court clarifications expose inaccuracies in the prosecution’s claims, expressing confidence that formal proceedings will continue to disprove the allegations.
