Special Assistant to the Governor Celso Abucejo stated that initiating corrective measures to align the 2026 provincial budget is impractical given the remaining three months of the fiscal year.
Abucejo noted that no formal harmonization process has commenced between the Executive and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to address the DBM findings.
He confirmed that the Capitol will continue operating under the ₱5.8-billion re-enacted budget through the fourth quarter to ensure uninterrupted salary disbursements for healthcare personnel and continuous public service delivery.
