Former Misamis Oriental Vice Governor and MASADA National Convenor for Education Joey Pelaez criticized the House prosecution panel’s decision to drop three articles of impeachment against Vice President Sara Duterte, characterizing the tactical shift as unfair and irregular.
Pelaez argued that legislative committees utilized investigative bodies like the NBI and COA to build allegations for months, only to withdraw charges abruptly.
He warned that dropping the articles deprives the Vice President’s legal team of the formal opportunity to present rebuttal evidence and call defense witnesses in court.
